Product and Technology

What is PostgresBC and how does it differ from traditional databases?

PostgresBC is our Web3 data platform for confidential and regulated data. It is unique as it is the only commercial solution available enabling you to search and analyze your fully encrypted data - including with AI. It stores data in blockchain storage, thanks to OmniIndex’s own Web3 PostgreSQL fork, and uses our award-winning AI engine for analytics and data optimization.

How does PostgresBC comply with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)?

PostgresBC ensures stringent compliance with data privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA through its robust security architecture. Data is perpetually encrypted, safeguarding it from unauthorized access at every stage – from storage to transit and processing. Our immutable blockchain storage, coupled with transparent auditing and encrypted log file management, provides unparalleled accountability and traceability. These features empower authorized users to monitor data access and detect potential threats, fostering a secure and compliant data environment.

What industries and use cases are best suited for PostgresBC?

PostgresBC is ideal for those working with confidential and regulated data. Our White Paper use cases include the Nigerian education system, where we are actively working to store and analyze the data of over 500,000 students and staff, and financial data stored and analyzed compliantly and securely in google cloud.

How does homomorphic encryption work and what are its benefits for data privacy?

OmniIndex's proprietary fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) algorithm sets a new standard in data protection. Leveraging the impenetrable security of AES 256 encryption, FHE enables complex computations to be performed directly on encrypted data. Unlike traditional encryption methods that require decryption before processing, FHE maintains data confidentiality at all times, preventing unauthorized access even during analysis. This groundbreaking technology ensures that sensitive information remains protected from breaches, safeguarding privacy and compliance.

How does blockchain enhance the security and trust of PostgresBC?

PostgresBC leverages blockchain technology to create an immutable and decentralized data storage environment. This ensures data integrity by preventing unauthorized modifications or deletions. Furthermore, the distributed nature of blockchain safeguards data availability and resilience against potential disruptions. By eliminating single points of failure, we provide an exceptionally secure and reliable platform for our customers.

What is the performance impact of using homomorphic encryption?

Users can analyze their fully encrypted data in real-time with our AI engine.

This boosts productivity as customers can analyze data previously considered too sensitive or regulated without risk of exposure.

What is the cost of implementing PostgresBC?

PostgresBC is available in a number of different pricing options. It is available on the Google Cloud Marketplace, where all pricing is listed for easy access and transparency.

For a small business, the monthly cost is $780. While our largest and most expensive platform is $4730 a month.

What level of support does OmniIndex offer?

OmniIndex has a support team, including our CEO and CTO, active on a dedicated Discord channel for our customers. You can also email us or contact us for a discovery meeting.

What is OmniIndex's data security and privacy policy?

OmniIndex cannot access customer data, encryption keys or passwords. We do not use customer data for the training of our AI engine and cannot access it.

How does OmniIndex ensure the security of customer data?

Customer data is stored in the customer’s own sandboxed blockchain and hosted in a location of the user’s choice. The customer is the only one with their encryption keys, OmniIndex does not have them, and data can remain encrypted at all times. Data is also immutable.

ROI

PostgresBC offers significant ROI. By preventing ransomware attacks and avoiding hefty regulatory fines (averaging $4.45 million), you can recoup your investment multiple times over. Additionally, by replacing costly solutions like Azure TDE or AWS Aurora, you can achieve immediate cost savings and accelerate your return.
