Our Blockchain Data Storage
Secure, Compliant & Confidential
PostgresBC is a confidential Web3 data solution. It ensures users can get the most out of their data without ever compromising on security or integrity. A core technology enabling this is our blockchain storage.
OmniIndex’s hybrid-blockchain architecture combines crucial security and privacy features of blockchain such as immutablity and decentralization, with established security protocols to ensure the data owner and customer is the one always in control.
Secure
Because data is stored in a proof-of-stake
blockchain, it is not located in a single place for a potential attacker to target. Instead, it has a peer-to-peer distribution method with it shared and stored across multiple servers with the data always encrypted and sandboxed.
Data is also immutable, meaning it cannot be edited accidentally or maliciously once stored. This means it is not possible for anyone to override the system with their own encryption and hold it to ransom.
Compliant
Blockchain's decentralization means that if one block was to go down due to an attack or database issue, the data would not be lost with the other authenticated holders of the information able to securely reshare the blocks again until the chain is once more
complete.
As well as meaning the data is protected from loss, it also fulfils article 32 of the GDPR stating a need for “the ability to restore the
availability and access to personal data in a timely manner in the event of a physical or technical incident.”
Confidential
PostgresBC gives the customer complete control over who can access and read their data with all data able to remain encrypted at rest, in transit and in use within the blockchain. This is possible because of OmniIndex's patented fully homomorphic encryption technology.
For example, with PostgresBC a super user actually has the lowest level of privileges. While they can perform all the administrative tasks they need to, they cannot view the data with it remaining encrypted at all times.
