An Extract From our 2022 White Paper ‘The Three Truths of Data’
Encryption is the industry standard method of protecting data. It ensures that the data can only be understood by someone authorised to do so. While this is the established practice and it ensures the information is protected, it is flawed if you want to share or apply modern analytic techniques such as AI or machine learning. This is because you have to remove the protective encryption to do so.
OmniIndex Homomorphic Encryption is a form of encryption that permits users to perform computations on their encrypted data without first decrypting it. The data remains secure and private, but OmniIndex’s patented technology enables it to be used by analytics. Crucially, the output is identical to what could be produced had the operations been performed on the unencrypted data without ever breaking the original encryption.
